Editorial independence
Editorial conclusions are based on audience fit, evidence and stated evaluation criteria. Payment, affiliate commission and access to a product do not guarantee coverage, inclusion, a positive review or a ranking position.
Evidence labels
- Explainer: concept or category guidance that does not claim product testing.
- Research-based: based on current official documentation, terms, pricing or policies.
- Hands-on tested: a disclosed plan and dated set of tasks were completed in the product.
- Sponsored: paid content, visibly labelled and separated from independent rankings.
Testing standards
A hands-on review should record the account or plan, test date, workflows attempted, important limitations, pricing checked and any material support or cancellation experience. Testing by the editorial team will not be falsely attributed to the site owner personally.
Comparisons and rankings
Comparisons should define the target reader and scenario. Products may be excluded when they are a poor category fit, cannot be tested responsibly, have unclear terms or do not meet the guide’s stated criteria. There is no universal best platform.
Commercial relationships
Platform Digest currently uses no affiliate links. If affiliate relationships are introduced, qualifying links will be disclosed near commercial content and in the site-wide disclosure. Affiliate rates may affect business priorities, but not the published evaluation criteria or conclusion.
Updates and corrections
Software changes frequently. Material pages should display review or update dates when product coverage begins. Confirmed factual errors will be corrected as soon as practical. Significant corrections may be noted on the page.
Use of automation and AI
Tools may assist with research organisation, editing, code and quality checks. They do not replace source verification, hands-on evidence or editorial accountability. Fabricated product experience, quotations, traffic and customer outcomes are prohibited.
